6½ in Black Lacquer Unagi Lunch Box

The W1-572-15 unagi lunch box gives eel over rice a black lacquer presentation with gold-brown bamboo-like lid artwork. The rectangular box measures 6½ inches long, 5½ inches wide and 2⅝ inches high, offering an individual format for the main dish. Made in Japan from plastic and lacquer, the box can form the center of a meal served with separate side dishes and a beverage.

Arrange the rice first, then lay the eel across it and finish with the garnish chosen for the menu. Keep pickles, a small vegetable side or additional sauce in a separate dish alongside. Wooden chopsticks and a rest complete the utensils for the course. Add a clear drinking glass, leaving room around the box for the diner to reach each accompaniment during the meal.
