Product Overview

The RUR213-S is a long, narrow ceramic sushi plate with a dark mottled surface and softly irregular edges. Its 13.35 by 4-inch format gives a row of sushi or dumplings a defined path along the table, while the raised ends frame the arrangement.

Made in Japan, the plate stands 1.4 inches high and is dishwasher and microwave safe. Beige-blue-brown and silver-gray RUR213 versions repeat the same elongated shape, letting you change the color palette without changing the serving format.

Arrange sushi along the length

Place individual pieces in a single line with small gaps between them. The narrow serving area encourages a clear sequence, while a compact garnish at one end leaves the dark glaze visible around the food.

Keep the raised ends in view

The low side view shows the shallow center and upturned ends. Leave a little room around the perimeter and set sauce dishes alongside the plate rather than covering the shaped edge.

Change the course, keep the format

The same long format can hold a line of dumplings or small appetizers. Coordinate the setting with separate dipping dishes and chopsticks, or use another RUR213 glaze for a second course in the same shape.
