Prepare, lift and care for your board
Set the board on a clean, flat worktop before preparing ingredients. The purple end grips help steady the board, while the recessed groove provides a place for small amounts of juice to collect. Keep the center clear enough to work comfortably and empty the groove as needed.
Use the oval opening when lifting or carrying the empty board. Keep raw ingredients separate from ready-to-eat food, and clean the surface between different preparation tasks.
Hand washing is recommended for bamboo. Wash promptly with mild dish detergent and a soft sponge, rinse and dry thoroughly before storage. Avoid prolonged soaking and direct heat, and let both faces dry rather than leaving the board flat in a wet area.
