The Zojirushi NS-LHC05-XT is a compact household Micom rice cooker and warmer in Stainless Dark Brown, with a maximum uncooked white-rice capacity of three supplied rice cups. Its microcomputer adjusts cooking time and temperature, while bottom, side and lid heaters surround a black, thick spherical inner cooking pan.

White rice, quick cooking and Jasmine white rice allow batches of 0.5–3 supplied rice cups. Sushi rice requires 1–3 cups; mixed rice, brown rice and GABA Brown allow 0.5–2 cups, while porridge allows 0.5–1 cup. Use the supplied approximately 180 mL rice measure and each menu’s matching water line. These uncooked quantities are not cooked yields or serving counts.

Choose White Rice/Mixed, Quick, Sushi, Porridge, Brown, GABA Brown or Jasmine. GABA Brown adds an approximately two-hour activation stage near 104°F before cooking. The manual separately explains white rice with germ, germinated brown rice, semi-brown rice and barley blends; these are ingredient-specific methods rather than additional dedicated menu buttons.

Cooking changes automatically to Keep Warm, but holding is limited to 12 hours for eligible rice. Do not keep mixed rice, porridge or rice with added ingredients or seasonings warm. Reheat makes already-warm white rice hotter in approximately nine minutes, with a maximum level of 2 on the WHITE/MIXED pan scale. It is not for cold rice, other foods or repeated reheating.

The LCD includes a 24-hour clock and two finish-time memories for eligible recipes. A carrying handle and retractable power cord support storage and handling, and the inner lid detaches for washing. The supplied accessories are a rice measuring cup, nonstick rice spatula and spatula holder. Stir and loosen rice immediately after cooking, and allow at least 30 minutes of cooling before another batch.

The NS-LHC05-XT is designed around a maximum uncooked white-rice capacity of 3 supplied rice cups. That rating uses the supplied rice measure, not a standard U.S. cup or cooked serving count. Follow the exact-model instructions for other grains, placement and operating limits.

Measure rice with the supplied accessories

Prepare the NS-LHC05-XT with the measuring and serving pieces listed for the unit: Rice measuring cup, nonstick rice spatula and spatula holder. Use the supplied rice measure rather than a standard U.S. cup, and follow the selected program’s water-level instructions.

Lift out the inner lid for cleaning

Remove the NS-LHC05-XT inner lid as directed for routine washing. The listed inner-lid design is detachable and washable. Unplug the cooker and allow it to cool before care. Do not immerse the main body. Protect the nonstick pan and seals; do not use abrasive cleaners.

Use the supplied approximately 180 mL measure for uncooked rice and follow each menu’s capacity and water line. Sushi has a one-cup minimum. Mixed rice is limited to two cups, with ingredients placed as instructed; ordinary white-rice capacity is not a mixed-rice or cooked-yield rating. Select PORRIDGE each time when using its water line, and do not make porridge from brown or semi-brown rice. Keep Warm automatically follows cooking, but mixed rice and porridge must not be held. Eligible rice is limited to 12 hours; do not add new rice to a held batch or use Keep Warm to warm cold rice. Brown and GABA Brown are included in this model’s permitted 12-hour table. Relative Keep Warm adjustments are not temperature readings or food-safety guarantees. Reheat is for white rice already in Keep Warm, at or below the WHITE/MIXED level 2. Do not reheat cold rice, other foods or repeated cycles. Loosen the rice before and after the approximately nine-minute cycle. It returns to Keep Warm when finished. Do not timer-cook mixed rice, added ingredients/seasonings or germinated brown rice. QUICK has no Timer. Keep the finish-time setting below 13 hours, especially in summer. Germinated brown rice uses WHITE RICE/MIXED and must not soak longer than 30 minutes; it is distinct from the GABA Brown activation program. Stir and loosen rice immediately after cooking and allow at least 30 minutes of cooling between batches or after cancelling Keep Warm. Use an outlet rated at least 15A without other devices sharing it. A slide-out shelf must support at least 26 lb. Allow the 14-1/4-inch open-lid height and steam clearance.
