About this product

Black and brown Tenmoku melamine plate
The plate measures 12 inches in diameter
Dishwasher safe

Product Overview

The 1812TM Tenmoku lotus-shaped plate gives a larger course a broad, dark setting. Its 12-inch diameter provides room for a generous main dish with accompaniments or several appetizers arranged together, while the subtly irregular brown edge outlines the textured black center.

Leave a little of the glossy surface visible around the serving to show the plate’s hammered finish. The broad round format works for a shared dumpling course, a composed salad or a main plate with separate components. Smaller Tenmoku sauce dishes and bowls carry the black-and-brown palette through the setting. The melamine plate is dishwasher safe after service.

1812TM black and brown Tenmoku lotus plate

A 12-inch plate for a broad course

The diameter suits a substantial main dish with accompaniments or several appetizers presented together. It provides a smaller lotus-shaped option than the 14-inch Tenmoku platter when the course does not need the larger serving format. Keep the arrangement inside the brown rim so the textured surface frames the food.

Dishwasher Safe

Dishwasher safe for convenient cleanup.

12-Inch Serving Area

A broad 12-inch diameter for larger plated arrangements.

Melamine

Melamine construction.

1812TM Tenmoku lotus plate with shared dumpling appetizer

Arrange a shared appetizer around the center

A broad round plate gives a dumpling selection room to spread without turning into a single narrow line. Leave the center or a portion of the edge open to reveal the glossy black texture, and serve dipping sauce separately when the course calls for it.

1812TM Tenmoku lotus plate with colorful composed salad

Give a colorful course room to breathe

A composed salad or vegetable-forward serving can use the 12-inch diameter to separate its components rather than crowding them together. The black center provides contrast, while the narrow brown edge keeps the presentation coordinated with Tenmoku bowls and sauce dishes. Dishwasher-safe melamine makes cleanup straightforward.
