Product Overview

An incised spiral winds through the aqua center of the FDKN-4. The oval plate has a dark, pale-mottled border and a softly uneven outline, with a low edge that keeps its glazed surface open.

At 8½ × 7 inches and ½ inch high, this ceramic plate works for dessert, appetizers or a side. Place a small portion off center to leave the spiral visible, or pair it with a deeper FDKN bowl. Made in Japan, it is dishwasher safe and microwave safe.

A shallow wall for open presentation

The side profile shows the low wall and thin dark edge. Its ½-inch height makes a dessert or appetizer easy to see without hiding it behind a deep rim.

Low Oval Profile

8½ × 7 inches with a ½-inch height.

Spiral Center

An incised spiral sits within the aqua glaze.

Dishwasher Safe

Dishwasher safe after serving.

FDKN-4 turquoise ceramic plate with a fruit tart and berries

Leave the spiral visible around dessert

A petite tart and a few berries fit the oval center while leaving part of the spiral exposed. The glaze gives a small sweet a colorful frame without needing a large garnish.

Coordinate different FDKN profiles

Use the oval plate for a side or dessert and a deeper bowl for rice or soup. Aqua interiors and dark mottled edges tie the pieces together without requiring identical outlines.
