Product Overview

Keep tempura dipping sauce separate from the plated food in this low matte-black porcelain bowl. A broad raised tab extends from one side of the round serving well, creating a distinctive asymmetric outline above a short circular foot. Fine dark-gray mottling adds quiet variation to the plain black surface. With a listed 5-inch diameter and 1½-inch height, the bowl gives sauce an open presentation beside a plate of tempura or another appetizer. Arrange the tab toward the open side of the setting so its shape remains visible and neighboring dishes do not crowd it. A pale plate gives the dark vessel contrast, while black plates and small seasoning pieces build a coordinated arrangement through different forms. Microwave-safe and dishwasher-safe porcelain supports reheating and cleanup.

A raised tab changes the silhouette

One side of the rim extends upward into a broad tab, breaking the circular outline of the shallow serving well. The rest of the bowl curves down to a short foot, and the finely mottled dark finish continues inside and outside without a printed design. A longer appetizer plate makes a useful visual partner: the plate carries the food, while the low rounded bowl defines a separate place for sauce.
