Product Overview

The MT57-NB brings a muted blue-gray surface and a narrow brown border to a small round deep plate. Fine speckles soften the blue interior, while the rounded outer wall curves toward a low circular foot. Its 6.65-inch diameter, 1.35-inch height and 10-fluid-ounce capacity offer a compact setting for a side dish, small salad or dessert.

Keep the portion near the center so the brown edge and blue surface remain part of the presentation. This shape has more depth than a low straight-sided plate, without the height of a traditional rice bowl. Made in Japan from ceramic, it is microwave safe and dishwasher safe. Choose the pale ivory or yellow MT57 alternatives for the same style of small-course service in a different finish.

A rounded blue-gray silhouette

A narrow brown line follows the edge of the blue-gray interior. The curved outer wall and low circular foot give this deep plate a softer profile than a straight-sided shallow plate. Fine speckles continue across the outside, keeping the finish visible from the side as well as above.

10 fl oz deep plate

A 6.65-inch diameter and 1.35-inch height for small courses.

Ceramic construction

Made in Japan with a blue-gray surface and brown rim.

Dishwasher safe

Microwave safe and dishwasher safe.

A little depth for a small course

The 1.35-inch height gives a small salad or vegetable side a defined place on the table. Leave a clear band of blue around the food so the speckling and narrow brown border remain visible. Its compact 10-fluid-ounce capacity makes it a useful small-course companion to a larger plate.

A quiet backdrop for dessert

A petite dessert can sit near the center with a few berries or another small accompaniment beside it. Blue-gray tones offer a gentle contrast to pale sweets and bright fruit. Keep the serving low enough to reveal the rounded wall and the slim brown outline.
