About this product

Material: Plastic with lacquer finish
Color: Black and red
Type: Square sake cup
Straight walls and flat base

Product Overview

A red interior sits inside a plain black exterior, giving this square sake cup a strong contrast at the rim. The straight walls and flat base create a compact masu-style outline, distinct from a rounded ceramic or glass cup.

The cup is made from plastic with a lacquer finish. Use the black-and-red combination alongside similarly colored bowls or a dark serving plate, or contrast it with natural wood tableware for a more varied sake setting.

Color concentrated inside the rim

The red interior remains visible above the dark outer walls, outlining the square opening. This gives the cup a clear color accent without adding a printed motif to the sides.

Square masu style

Black and red

Lacquer-finish plastic

A plain, undecorated exterior.

A different outline for sake service

The square form changes the rhythm of a table arranged with round cups and bowls. Pair it with a separate sake bottle, leaving space around each cup for lifting and passing.

Compare the material as well as the shape

Other masu cups use natural wood and visible joinery. This model keeps the square format but uses lacquer-finish plastic and a black-and-red color treatment, offering a different look within the same style of sake service.
