5½″ Blue & White Octopus Ceramic Plate

Deep blue tentacles curl around the edge of this white ceramic plate, with round white suction markings that give the design its distinctive rhythm. The open center provides a simple backdrop for a small appetizer or dessert without covering the artwork.

Made in Japan, the plate measures 5.5 inches across and 1 inch high. Its shallow curved sides and low foot suit small courses, while dishwasher- and microwave-safe care supports everyday use. Pair it with plain tableware or other blue-and-white illustrated pieces for a coordinated setting with varied motifs.
