About this product

Finish: Lacquer
Color: Black exterior and red interior with a gold-colored character
Dimensions: 3⅛ in square
Shape: Square masu cup
Design: Fuku (good fortune) character

Product Overview

The OMS-6 masu brings a bold black-and-red accent to sake service. Its black exterior frames a gold-colored Fuku character, while the red interior and rim introduce a vivid contrast visible from across the table.

Measuring 3⅛ inches square, this lacquer-finished cup has the straight-sided form of a masu. It works as a single accent beside a sake bottle or as part of a coordinated black-and-red setting with small plates, sauce dishes and chopsticks.

Let the Fuku motif face the guest

Turn the decorated face toward the place setting so the gold-colored character is easy to see. A simple sake bottle alongside keeps the cup as the visual focus without adding another competing motif.

Lacquer finish

A black exterior contrasts with the red rim and interior.

Fuku design

Gold-colored good-fortune character on the front.

Square masu form

Straight-sided cup with a 3⅛-inch square footprint.

Color contrast from rim to interior

The red finish runs across the rim and down into the square well, standing apart from the black outside walls. The front remains defined by the gold-colored character, giving the cup a different appearance from each viewing angle.

Build a coordinated black-and-red setting

Repeat the cup’s colors with a black rectangular serving plate, a red-and-black soup bowl or matching chopsticks. Keep sauces in separate dishes so each part of the meal has its own place beside the sake cup.
