The Panasonic SR-W10FGE is a household automatic rice cooker and steamer for smaller batches. The North American manual specifies 1–5 supplied rice cups, or 0.18–1.0 liter of uncooked rice. A removable nonstick-coated pan, see-through glass lid and included steaming basket support straightforward everyday preparation.

Press the cooking switch once to begin. When the rice cycle finishes, the cooker changes automatically to Keep Warm. The manual recommends approximately 30 minutes of soaking before cooking and at least 15 minutes of covered steaming afterward, followed by mixing with the rice scoop.

Prepare rice with the matching inner pan

The separate steaming basket sits above water in the pan for steam cooking. Steam time is controlled manually, rather than by a programmed recipe timer; unplug the cooker when the food is done. Follow the operating manual’s setup and take care when removing the hot basket and lid.

Keep Warm continues until unplugged and is limited to five hours for rice quality. It is not intended to reheat cold rice. Rinse rice in a separate bowl, keep the pan exterior dry and use a soft sponge or non-metal brush for cleaning. Wipe the body with a well-wrung cloth and never immerse it.
