Product Overview

- The SR-GA421FH Commercial Rice Cooker provides automatic rice cooking convenience.

- Create light, fluffy rice with this 23-cup capacity (uncooked) commercial rice cooker.

- Simply add rice and water and press the lever to start cooking and the SR-GA421FH automatically cooks the rice for the correct amount of time, then switches to keep warm mode (for up to 5 hours).

- The rice cooking pan is non-stick pan for easy cleaning.

The Panasonic SR-GB42FH is a commercial electric rice cooker and warmer rated for 23 supplied cups of uncooked rice, or 4.2 liters. It uses a removable non-stick-coated aluminum pan. The included rice measure holds 180 mL, so the cup rating is not a U.S. measuring-cup or serving count.

A 1,550W heater and one-touch control handle rice preparation on a 120V supply. The pan includes white-rice and sushi-rice water markings. Panasonic lists approximately 46 cups of cooked yield, but the result depends on the rice and preparation.

One-touch cooking and warming

Cooking changes automatically to Warm. The GB42 manual limits warm holding to 5 hours and says the warmer continues until unplugged. Warm is not for reheating cold rice, and the cooking switch should not be forced down during holding.

Connection

120V supply with the manufacturer-listed A2 (NEMA 5-15P), 15A plug. Follow the exact model instructions for installation.

Allow time for soaking and finishing

For the GB42 models, the manual calls for about 30 minutes of soaking before cooking and at least 15 minutes of covered steaming after the switch changes to Warm. Include those stages when planning production; the catalog’s cooking-time estimate does not describe the entire preparation process.
