A bright medallion against dark blue
The white oval medallion concentrates the red, yellow and green botanical detail in one area, leaving the surrounding wall in horizontally banded blue. A thin blue line near the inside rim connects the pale interior to the dark exterior. The raised white foot adds another light break below the body. This balance works with simple white service pieces or a dark condiment dish, and lets the bowl carry a colorful motif without covering every visible surface in decoration.
