Product Overview

Prepare a broad rice-working area with this 29½-inch wooden sushi oke, also known as a hangiri. The open round tub has a low 7-inch wall, a wooden interior and two warm metal-colored bands around the outside, giving it the familiar appearance of a traditional rice tub.

Made in Japan, the large-diameter form provides room to spread and turn rice during sushi preparation. Keep the tub at a clear preparation station with a rice paddle and the next-stage rolling or molding tools nearby, then choose a smaller matching tub when a more compact footprint is needed.
