This manual green onion cutter uses five parallel stainless steel blades to quickly create fine, lengthwise scallion strips for garnishes, salads, noodle dishes, soups, and restaurant prep. Draw the blades along the green onion to produce thin shredded strands without individually slicing each strip by knife.

Known in Japanese kitchens as a negi cutter, this style of tool is commonly used for shiraga negi, or finely shredded long green onion. The same long-cut preparation is useful for Korean pa-chae scallion salad served with grilled meats and Korean BBQ, while remaining distinct from round-cut green onion slicers such as the Shin Young SY-1608.
