The Zojirushi NW-JEC10-BA is a Silky Black household pressure induction-heating rice cooker and warmer with a maximum uncooked white-rice capacity of 5.5 supplied rice cups, or 1.0 liter. Its 2.2 mm inner cooking pan combines aluminum and stainless steel clad construction, an iron-coated exterior and platinum-infused nonstick interior. Pressure is applied by selected programs, rather than by every cooking menu.

White-rice texture settings range from Firmer through Firm, Regular, Soft and Softer. Umami, Quick White, Sushi and My Rice also accommodate 0.5–5.5 supplied rice cups. My Rice accepts feedback about firmness and stickiness and adjusts later My Rice cooking cycles. Zojirushi describes 49 texture variations; the feedback feature applies to white rice, not to every grain program.

Dedicated selections cover Jasmine and Quick Jasmine, Japanese-style porridge, Jasmine-rice congee, brown and GABA Brown rice, and steel cut oatmeal. Each has its own batch limit and water line. Mixed rice is limited to 0.5–4 cups, brown and GABA Brown to 1–4 cups, and steel cut oatmeal to 0.5–2.5 cups. Measure uncooked ingredients with the supplied approximately 180 mL cup; maximum white-rice capacity is not a cooked serving count.

Regular Keep Warm permits up to 12 hours for eligible rice. Extended permits up to 24 hours for the listed white-rice and Jasmine programs; brown and GABA Brown use Regular only. Do not hold mixed rice, porridge, congee or steel cut oatmeal. Reheat warms already-warm white rice in approximately 4–8 minutes, at or below the WHITE level 3, and returns to Regular Keep Warm.

The orange LCD includes two finish-time memories, a pressure indicator and notification sounds. The flat interior, integrated steam vent and detachable inner lid support routine cleaning. A water-only Self-Cleaning cycle helps reduce odors; it does not replace washing the pan, lid, filters and valves as instructed. A rice measuring cup and self-standing spatula are included.

The NW-JEC10 requires AC 120V, 60Hz power and is rated at 1,240W, with a 1.0-meter cord. Approximate dimensions are 10-3/4 inches wide by 13-5/8 inches deep by 8-1/2 inches high, with a 17-5/8-inch open-lid height. Zojirushi lists cETLus certification, FCC compliance testing and manufacture in Japan. Follow the pressure-lid checks, allow steam clearance and cool the cooker for at least 50 minutes before another rice batch.

Personalize the rice texture

The NW-JEC10-BA My Rice program offers manufacturer-described texture customization through 49 combinations. Use the NW-JEC10-BA control panel to select the program appropriate to the rice or grain you are preparing. Listed settings include umami, Quick White, Mixed, Sushi, Porridge, Jasmine, Quick Jasmine, Congee, Brown, GABA Brown and Steel Cut Oatmeal. Match the selected program to its own measuring, water-line and batch-limit instructions; a maximum white-rice rating does not apply unchanged to every menu.

Iron-coated, platinum-infused cooking pan

The NW-JEC10-BA uses this removable cooking pan for measured rice batches. Its listed construction is 2.2 mm aluminum and stainless steel clad pan. Use the supplied rice measure and the correct menu-specific water level; the headline capacity is an uncooked-rice maximum, not a serving count. Follow the exact-model cleaning instructions and protect the pan surface from abrasive tools.

Use the supplied approximately 180 mL cup and each menu’s matching water line. White and sushi programs each allow 0.5–5.5 cups, while Mixed is limited to four cups and Brown/GABA Brown to 1–4 cups. Porridge uses short- or medium-grain white rice; Congee uses Jasmine white rice. Select PORRIDGE, CONGEE or STEEL CUT OATMEAL each time when using its corresponding water line. Pressure is used by selected cooking programs and Self-Cleaning. Check that the valves, inner-lid filter, seals and steam path are clean and correctly assembled, and close the lid securely. Before opening, wait until steam has stopped and the PRESSURE indicator is gone. Never force a resistant lid. These notes supplement, rather than replace, the exact operating manual. Regular Keep Warm permits up to 12 hours for eligible rice. Extended permits up to 24 hours for the listed white/Jasmine programs; Brown and GABA Brown use Regular only.
