About this product

Material: Momi fir wood
Diameter: 11¾ in
Country of origin: Japan
Selling unit: One tub

Product Overview

The HK30-N is a round wooden rice tub with a pale interior and two warm-toned bands around the outside. The open top leaves the full preparation surface accessible, while the upright wooden sides keep the rice gathered inside the circular working area.

Made in Japan from Momi fir, this tub measures 11¾ inches in diameter. Choose the footprint to suit the preparation space, and compare the larger HK sizes when more room across the base is preferred. One tub is supplied; paddles and other preparation tools are sold separately.

An open working surface for rice

The low, uncovered form lets a rice paddle move across the base without a lid or narrow neck in the way. Use a separate paddle suited to the scale of the tub and the preparation task.

Keep the circular footprint in mind

An 11¾-inch diameter is a practical dimension to check against the counter before selecting a tub. Leave working space around it for the paddle, rice container and other tools used in the preparation.

Choose another HK size when more room is needed

The HK33-N, HK36-N and HK39-N repeat the same Momi fir tub style in larger diameters. Compare the dimensions rather than assuming that every rice tub provides the same working area.
