Product Overview

The 00744 set supplies three round bamboo soba mats in a warm natural brown tone. Parallel slats are joined by pale cord, creating a textured circular surface for presenting cold noodles on a separately selected plate or tray. Each mat is 6½ inches across and 0.35 inches high.

The round shape offers an alternative to a square insert when building a soba place setting. These are mats, not complete framed trays, so check the usable interior of the serving piece you intend to pair with them. Made in Japan, the bamboo mats require hand washing.

Three Mats for Soba Service

The three round bamboo mats create a natural slatted surface for chilled noodles. Pair them with separately selected plates or trays, checking the usable interior dimensions before choosing a serving piece.

Three-piece set

Three matching round soba mats.

Natural bamboo

Warm brown slats with pale cord binding.

6½-Inch Round Mats

Each mat is 6½ inches across and 0.35 inches high.

Bamboo grain and pale cord

Narrow strips show the natural variation in bamboo color, with light cord running across the slats. The surface adds texture beside plain ceramic or lacquered tableware.

Flexible Bamboo Construction

Pale cord joins the narrow bamboo slats so the mats can flex together. Hand wash the bamboo pieces and handle them gently during cleaning.
