About this product

Shallow mesh skimmer
Head diameter: 3⅓ inches (8.5 cm)
Material: Stainless steel; bamboo handle
Color: Silver; natural

Product Overview

The 124258 skimmer uses a shallow fine-mesh head to lift surface foam and small portions while letting liquid drain. A slender stainless-steel shaft connects the round screen to a bamboo grip, with a triangular loop for hanging.

124258 shallow fine-mesh skimmer lifting foam from stock

Lift surface foam lightly

Move the shallow screen just beneath the foam and lift slowly. Let excess liquid drain back before emptying the skimmer, keeping the load light enough to remain on the head.

Shallow mesh head

Fine screen lets liquid drain while lifting surface solids.

Steel and bamboo

Stainless-steel head with a bamboo grip.

3⅓-inch head diameter

Small round head for controlled light portions.

Original 124258 skimmer with bamboo grip and triangular hanging loop

A shallow head rather than a deep basket

The 3⅓-inch round screen gives access to small areas near the liquid surface. For larger portions that need containment, choose a deeper basket strainer instead.

124258 skimmer lifting and draining a small portion of green peas

Drain a small portion before serving

Keep the head level while lifting a small portion of vegetables. Pause above the liquid to release drips, then transfer the food without piling it above the shallow rim.
