8″ White Ceramic Round Plate

Long, raised petal shapes spread outward from the center of this white ceramic plate and meet a gently scalloped edge. The relief is part of the plate’s surface rather than a colored floral print, so the decorative detail remains within an all-white setting. Its curved sides give appetizers and desserts a defined circular arrangement, with the central area left open for the food. Place a main element toward the middle and let some of the surrounding petal detail remain visible instead of covering the whole surface. The overall diameter is eight inches; height and inner serving-area measurements are not specified. Pair it with plain white pieces for a quieter surrounding place setting.

Tomato rounds, slices of white cheese and basil give this plate a savory role as well as a dessert role. Their red and green colors contrast with the white ceramic, while the petal pattern remains visible between and around the arranged ingredients. Build a similarly composed starter with a few distinct elements rather than treating the entire decorative surface as a platter to fill. For a multi-course meal, coordinate it with a separate larger dinner plate or a white side bowl. Offer extra dressing in its own small vessel if desired. The eight-inch overall diameter is the listed size; choose your arrangement around the food you are serving.
