Thisrough grit sharpening stone is ideal for quickly bringing the edge back to dull knives and can also be used to repair blade nicks or damaged tips. Works well before moving on to a medium and fine grit sharpening stone. Rough stones are intended for experienced sharpeners, their abrasiveness makes them ideal for repairing damaged knives but can easily ruin a knife edge if used improperly.
