About this product

  • Blue Moon Japan Stone Alike - 10-1/2"D Plate
  • Material: Porcelain
  • Color: Blue, Brown

Product Overview

A broad blue rim frames a warm brown center on this 10½-inch porcelain plate. Fine mottling moves between the two colors, giving grilled fish, vegetables and neatly arranged appetizers a textured backdrop. The gently rising edge outlines the serving without a heavy border or printed decoration.

Choose the larger of the two coordinating round plates when a main course needs space for a small accompaniment. Its open circular center suits a centered arrangement or a short line of sushi, while a separate side bowl keeps other parts of the meal distinct. Pair it with the smaller Stony plate and blue-and-gold-brown bowls to repeat the palette in different shapes.

R210-SA blue and brown porcelain round plate

Blue around a warm center

The blue border breaks into lighter mottling where it meets the brown center. Fine speckling carries across the serving surface, creating contrast for pale rice, green vegetables and a small grilled main. Leave part of the rim exposed to show the plate’s two-tone finish.

Room for the main course

A 10½-inch diameter provides a broader setting than the coordinating 9½-inch plate. Arrange the main ingredient with a compact vegetable accompaniment, keeping the plate visible between components rather than covering its entire surface.

Build a coordinated setting

Use the blue-and-brown plate alongside matching side and rice bowls for courses served separately. The shared color treatment ties the pieces together while the different forms give each dish a distinct place. A simple glass and neutral chopsticks keep attention on the food and porcelain.
