Product Overview

Give a composed course a richly mottled backdrop with this 9½-inch Japanese porcelain plate. Green-blue tones collect near the rim and blend into a gold-brown center, creating a warm setting for vegetables, fish and small appetizer arrangements. Its round shape and softly uneven edge keep the presentation relaxed without a printed motif.

This is the smaller of the two coordinating Stony round plates. Choose its 9½-inch footprint for an individual course, or use the 10½-inch version when the arrangement calls for more room. Matching blue-and-gold-brown bowls bring the same palette to rice and sides served alongside the plate.

R295-SA blue and brown porcelain round plate

A mottled blue-and-gold palette

Green-blue color gathers at the edge before fading into the gold-brown serving surface. Fine variations in tone give the plate visual depth without a busy printed pattern. A lightly arranged salad leaves the color transition visible around the food.

Choose the footprint for the course

The 9½-inch format is one inch smaller in diameter than the coordinating 10½-inch plate. Use it when a compact plated arrangement is more suitable, with a separate small bowl for a side rather than crowding the main serving.

Gyoza on the green-blue and gold-brown 9½-inch porcelain plate

Japanese porcelain for a coordinated table

Pair this Japanese-made porcelain plate with the coordinating blue-and-gold-brown rice and side bowls. A simple arrangement of food lets the mottled surface remain part of the presentation, while different vessel shapes distinguish each part of the meal.
