Product Overview

Prepare sashimi with the Sekiryu SR300-S, a Japanese knife with a long, narrow 300 mm blade and a pointed tip. The slender profile is suited to drawing slices from boneless fish, while the pale poplar handle and black nylon bolster give it a traditional appearance.

Made in Seki, Japan, it combines 420J2 stainless steel with a blade hardness of HRC 50–53. The longest of these three matching SR sashimi knives, the 300 mm model provides the greatest blade length for extended slicing strokes.

A 300 mm blade for sashimi slicing

The 300 mm blade gives the SR300-S its long, narrow slicing profile. Use the length of the edge in a controlled drawing motion when portioning boneless fish for sashimi, with enough clear board space for the blade to travel.

Care for the blade and wooden handle

Wash the knife by hand with mild dish soap, rinse it and dry both the blade and wooden handle promptly. Avoid abrasive cleaners and do not leave the wooden handle soaking in water.

Store the knife with its edge protected and enough room for its full length. Keep this slender sashimi blade for slicing boneless ingredients rather than chopping through bones or frozen food.
