The NP-NWC10-XB brings pressure induction heating and microcomputer-controlled cooking to a 5.5-rice-cup household cooker. Choose regular, softer or harder white rice, or use the dedicated Umami, Jasmine, congee and grain programs; each menu has its own batch limit and water line. Its 5.5-cup maximum is an uncooked white-rice rating measured with the supplied approximately 180 mL cup, not a cooked yield or number of servings.

A platinum-infused nonstick inner pan, detachable stainless steel inner lid and orange LCD support measuring, cooking and everyday care. Pressure is applied only on the applicable menus. Before opening, confirm that steam has stopped and the PRESSURE indicator is off; do not force a resistant lid. Clean and inspect the valves, filter, gaskets and steam vent as directed in the exact-model manual.

Automatic Regular Keep Warm, eligible Extended Keep Warm and a warm-rice Reheat function offer different holding options, but not for every food. Do not hold mixed or sweet rice, porridge, congee or steel cut oatmeal warm. Follow the menu-specific limits, allow the cooker to cool before another batch, and use only the manufacturer’s intended programs. This is a household model with limited similar staff-kitchen applications—not a substitute for a continuous-duty commercial cooker.

The 120V, 60Hz cooker is rated at 1,240W for cooking and includes its cord and plug. Allow room around the steam outlet and above the opening lid. Made in Japan, it includes separate regular and rinse-free rice measures, a spatula and spatula holder.

The orange LCD places regular, softer and harder white-rice selections alongside Umami, Jasmine and other dedicated menus. Use each menu’s own water line and capacity; the Rinse-Free setting requires the separate green measuring cup where applicable.

Measure for the platinum-infused inner pan

The 1.7 mm nonstick pan has a platinum-infused coating and marked water levels. Measure raw rice with the appropriate supplied cup, then match the menu and water line. Use nonmetal utensils and do not mix sushi vinegar in the pan.

Keep the pressure system clean

The stainless steel inner lid detaches for washing. Follow the manual when cleaning and inspecting the inner-lid filter, pressure-control valve, safety valve, gaskets and steam vent; remove residue and reassemble the required parts correctly before cooking.

Measure most rice with the clear approximately 180 mL cup. Eligible rinse-free white rice uses the green approximately 171 mL cup and Rinse-Free setting; the matching numeric cup range does not make the two measures interchangeable. Follow the exact menu/water-line and batch limits for mixed, sweet, porridge, congee, brown, GABA Brown and steel cut oatmeal. This is a pressure rice cooker. Never open or move it while pressure is applied. Before opening, confirm that no steam is escaping and the PRESSURE indicator is off; if the lid resists, allow cooling and do not force it. Inspect and clean the pressure-control valve, safety valve, filter, gaskets and steam vent as directed. Use only the manual’s intended programs/recipes and stay below the MAX water line. Regular Keep Warm is limited to 12 hours for eligible rice and Extended to 24 hours for the eligible white-rice menus. Brown and GABA Brown use Regular only.
