About this product

Black and brown Tenmoku melamine lotus-shaped plate
6 in diameter × 1 in high
Break resistant
Dishwasher safe

Product Overview

The 1806TM brings Tenmoku's black-and-brown finish to a small, lotus-shaped plate. Its 6-inch diameter suits an appetizer, vegetable side or dessert that needs less space than a full dinner course. The 1-inch height gives the plate a raised profile, framing a modest serving while keeping it easy to see from across the setting.

A subtly uneven outline, rippled black surface and brown-red rim give this compact plate its character. Use a few golden bites to contrast with the dark center, or let a brightly colored dessert become the focal point. Pair it with larger Tenmoku plates and bowls for the same palette in different serving shapes. The break-resistant melamine is dishwasher safe after service.

Lotus form without a large footprint

The 6-inch diameter and 1-inch height give this plate a compact, raised profile. Its lotus shape appears as a softly irregular outline rather than a plain circular edge. A narrow brown-red border and rippled black center add detail around the food without requiring an oversized serving piece.

Dishwasher Safe

Two shrimp tempura on the six-inch Tenmoku lotus plate

A dark frame for golden appetizers

A small tempura course or a few prepared bites contrast clearly with the black surface. Arrange the food toward the center, leaving enough room around it to show the rippled texture and warm rim. Add a separate sauce dish when needed rather than filling the small plate with accompaniments.

Matcha cake and strawberries on the six-inch Tenmoku lotus plate

Finish the meal on a smaller plate

A compact cake portion, fruit or another individual dessert can stand on its own against this dark finish. The six-inch size keeps the presentation focused while the lotus edge adds a little movement around it. Coordinate with a Tenmoku teacup for the final course; the break-resistant melamine plate is dishwasher safe.
