The JKT-D18U combines induction heating with microcomputer menu control for household rice preparation. It belongs to Tiger’s JKT-D IH line, not the simpler one-switch JNP cookers or warming-only commercial jars. Choose a rice menu and its matching water scale before loading the pot, rather than treating the headline cup capacity as universal.

The Tiger JKT-D18U is a Japanese-made induction-heating rice cooker and warmer in Silver Black. Plain/White, Premium, Quick and Long-grain programs accept 2–10 supplied rice cups, with a nominal maximum of 1.8 liters. The approximately 0.18-liter measure is for uncooked rice, so the capacity is not a serving count.

Induction heating works with a three-layer ceramic-coated metal inner pot. The cooking surface also has a fluorocarbon-resin nonstick coating. Twelve cooking menus cover white, brown, mixed and sweet rice, porridge, Slow Cook and Cake. Express Limited Cups is designed for smaller 2–3-cup white-rice batches, with a manufacturer cooking-time guideline of 20–26 minutes under specified conditions.

Two stored timers let you select a cooking-completion time for eligible menus using the 12-hour clock. Premium uses a longer soaking stage than Plain/White. Follow each menu’s minimum timer interval and do not schedule cooking more than 12 hours ahead.

Automatic Keep Warm is limited to 24 hours for white rice, including rinse-free white rice. Keep at least 2 supplied cups in the pot, and serve small quantities promptly. Reheat is for rice already being held warm, within the manual’s temperature and quantity restrictions. Brown, seasoned rice and porridge should be served promptly rather than held like plain white rice.

Slow Cook runs for 1–180 minutes and has different food-and-liquid fill limits for shorter and longer cooking times. For this model, use the Plain/White 2–8 marks for 20 minutes or less and 3–8 marks for 21 minutes or more. Its separate holding limit is six hours. Cake runs for 5–80 minutes with limited extensions; follow the supplied recipe quantities rather than treating the white-rice capacity as a batter limit.

This model is listed at 15 inches wide, 11 inches deep and 10 inches high. Plan its position around the listed footprint and leave room to operate the lid.
