The NEC-1 is a commercial electric sake warmer and hot sake dispenser designed for high-volume service from an 18 L (5-gallon) cube container. Its automatic operating system uses indirect water-bath heating with adjustable temperature control, allowing restaurants to warm and dispense sake from a dedicated countertop unit rather than heating individual servings separately.

The 5-gallon supply format makes the NEC-1 particularly suited to Japanese restaurants, sushi bars, izakaya, and other operations with substantial hot sake volume. Its cube-container configuration also gives this model a distinct role from bottle-fed sake warmers and ERS's Taiji TSK-150C/TSK-150CS models, which use manual dispensing controls.

Product Overview

The NEC-1 warms and dispenses sake from an 18 L cubic supply container mounted above the appliance. One dispensing outlet creates a dedicated service point, and indirect water-bath heating transfers warmth to the sake as it passes through the unit.

An adjustable control regulates bath-water temperature rather than guaranteeing a particular sake outlet temperature. The receiving-bottle tray adjusts to position the nozzle in the bottle. Liquid-level sensing stops automatic filling when sake reaches the sensing point; a separate press-and-hold switch permits manual dispensing.

Set up the cube with the coupling closed, position the container and receiving bottle as directed, and then follow the operating sequence in the supplied manual. At shutdown, close the coupling and drain the sake remaining in the warmer. Keep the nozzle clean and follow the internal-path and water-bath cleaning procedures.

NEC-1 warmer shown with a cube container above the appliance

Set up the cube and water bath separately

The NEC-1 draws from an 18 L sake cube placed above the appliance. Indirect water-bath heating warms the sake as it passes through the warmer; the supply container volume is separate from the warming-water capacity.

Fill the bath to its indicated level and connect the cube with the coupling closed, following the supplied setup sequence. Leave room to position and exchange the container above the machine. The bath control regulates water temperature, not a guaranteed temperature at the sake outlet.

Automatic level sensing

With the nozzle positioned for filling, dispensing stops when sake reaches the nozzle sensing point. Set the tray for the actual receiving bottle before service.

Manual dispensing option

A separate manual switch dispenses while held, providing an alternative to sensor-controlled filling.

Controlled cube connection

An open/close coupling controls the supply connection. Close it for setup and shutdown, and drain remaining sake as directed after use.

Set the tray for automatic filling

The receiving-bottle tray adjusts to position the nozzle inside the bottle. With the nozzle in the filling position, liquid-level sensing stops the pour when sake reaches the sensing point.

A separate press-and-hold switch allows manual dispensing. Check the actual serving bottle and tray position together before service, and follow the supplied instructions for the nozzle position when removing the bottle.

Close the supply and clean the sake path

At shutdown, close the cube coupling and drain the sake remaining inside the warmer before switching off, as directed in the operating instructions. Closing the supply is a separate step from cleaning the internal sake path.

The instructions call for daily nozzle cleaning, monthly sensor care and water-bath replacement at least monthly. Follow the supplied hot-water procedure for the internal sake path, including the sake-level tube position, rather than treating a wipe of the exterior as a complete cleaning cycle.
