Product Overview

The Tiger JAX-T10U is a compact 5.5-cup Micom rice cooker and warmer with computerized control for more precise everyday rice cooking. Its 1.0-liter capacity is suited to smaller batches, while multiple programmed settings support white, brown, mixed, multigrain, sweet rice, porridge, steaming, and slow-cooked dishes.

Tiger's Tacook synchronized cooking system is the defining feature of the JAX series. The included cooking plate allows a separate dish to cook above the rice during the same cycle, expanding the appliance beyond basic rice preparation without requiring another countertop cooker. After cooking, the JAX-T10U automatically transitions to keep-warm mode for up to 12 hours, while preset timers support advance meal preparation.

The Tiger JAX-T10U brings programmed rice cooking and a coordinated side dish into one compact household appliance. Its Plain and Quick capacity is 1–5.5 supplied cups of uncooked rice (1.0 L nominal maximum), rather than 5.5 cooked servings. Micom control, a black-and-stainless exterior and Japanese manufacture distinguish this model; the smaller cooking range is useful when the 10-cup JAX-T18U would be more than you need.

Use the included tacook plate for the cookbook’s synchronized meals, with only 1–2 supplied cups of rice on this model. The plate is removed when cooking ends and must not stay inside during Keep Warm. Rice menus, Porridge, Slow Cook and Steam provide different preparation options, each with its own water levels and quantity limits. Two completion timers work with eligible menus, while white-rice holding is limited to 12 hours; Reheat is for rice already being kept warm, not cold leftovers.

For setup, the JAX-T10U requires 120V / 60Hz and is rated at 641W. Use an independent outlet rated at least 15A and follow the manual’s clearance instructions. Hand-wash the removable pan, inner lid and steam-cap components after unplugging and cooling; keep the main body out of water and leave the non-removable main lid gasket in place.

Micom control for a 5.5-cup cooker

The JAX-T10U has dedicated rice menus plus Porridge, Slow Cook and Steam. Its LCD shows menu, clock and timer information, and two stored completion timers help schedule eligible rice programs. The timer is not available for Quick, Mixed/Sweet, Slow Cook, Steam or synchronized cooking.

Measure uncooked rice, not servings

The inner pot carries menu-specific water scales. Use the supplied approximately 0.18-liter measure: Plain and Quick allow 1–5.5 cups, Brown 1–3.5 cups, and Mixed or Sweet rice 1–3 cups. Ingredients and porridge have their own reduced limits; the maximum white-rice rating is not a universal recipe capacity.

A coordinated meal with tacook

The supplied tacook plate cooks a cookbook side dish above rice during the Plain/Synchro-Cooking cycle. On the JAX-T10U, use 1–2 supplied cups of rice and the cookbook’s ingredient quantities. Remove the hot plate after cooking and stir the rice; do not leave the plate inside while Keep Warm operates.

Use the supplied 0.18-liter measure and model-specific water scales. Plain and Quick allow 1–5.5 cups; simultaneous rice and side-dish cooking is limited to 1–2 cups. Follow the supplied cookbook for tacook recipes and ingredient loads. The plate must be removed after cooking and cannot remain in the cooker during Keep Warm. The 12-hour limit applies to white-rice holding, including rinse-free white rice. A display that continues to 24 hours does not extend that limit. Reheat requires rice already being kept warm, at least 1 cup, no more than half a pot, and a temperature of about 55°C / 131°F or higher. Do not use it to reheat cold rice. Slow Cook has a separate six-hour maximum for continuous holding.
