The AUTEC ASM890A Maki Sushi Maker is a commercial sushi robot that combines automated sushi rice sheeting and roll wrapping in one machine. Designed for sushi restaurants, supermarkets, commissaries, institutional kitchens, and other foodservice operations, the ASM890A forms uniform sushi rice mats and then wraps the prepared roll after the operator places the nori and ingredients. This integrated rice sheeter and maki wrapper automates two repetitive steps in norimaki production while allowing the operator to control fillings and final roll preparation.

Interchangeable wrapping units allow the ASM890A to produce multiple maki and norimaki formats, including small, medium, large, extra-large, and wide rolls. Operators can adjust rice-mat thickness, length, density/compression, position, and wrapping time, with multiple programmable settings available for each wrapping unit. The U.S.-spec ASM890A operates on 110–120V power, holds approximately 14.5 lb. of prepared sushi rice in its standard hopper, and completes a rice-sheet-and-wrap cycle in approximately 6 to 7.5 seconds, depending on roll size.

Features

  • Integrated Rice Sheeter and Maki Wrapper: Combines sushi rice-mat formation and roll wrapping in one commercial sushi machine, reducing the amount of repetitive hand spreading and manual rolling required during maki production.
  • Fast Sheet-and-Wrap Production: Completes a rice-sheet and wrapping cycle in approximately 6–7.5 seconds depending on the selected roll size.
  • Multiple Maki Roll Sizes: Interchangeable wrapping units support small, medium, large, extra-large, and wide norimaki formats for a broader sushi menu.
  • Traditional and Inside-Out Roll Capability: Different wrapping configurations allow the machine to support traditional nori-outside sushi rolls as well as inside-out roll production.
  • Automatic Wrapping Unit Identification: Sensors identify the installed wrapping unit so the machine can recall the appropriate operating configuration for that roll format.
  • Adjustable Rice Mat Thickness: Set sushi rice thickness from 5–13 mm to control rice quantity, mouthfeel, and finished roll profile.
  • Adjustable Rice Mat Length: Fine-tune the length of the formed sushi rice sheet to match the selected wrapping unit and desired roll configuration.
  • Adjustable Rice Density and Compression: Control rice-mat compression from -10 to +10 to accommodate different rice conditions and desired finished texture.
  • Adjustable Rice Mat Position: Fine-tune where the formed rice sheet is delivered onto the wrapping unit for more consistent alignment with nori and fillings.
  • Adjustable Wrapping Time: Set wrapping retention time from 0–5 seconds to fine-tune the forming process for different roll styles and ingredients.
  • Programmable Forming Settings: Store up to three programs for each wrapping unit, allowing frequently produced maki formats to be recalled without rebuilding settings each time.
  • Large-Capacity Sushi Rice Hopper: Standard hopper holds approximately 14.5 lb. (6.6 kg) of prepared sushi rice, with an optional configuration increasing capacity to approximately 22 lb. (10 kg).
  • Built-In Rice Temperature Management: The hopper and internal heating system help reduce cooling of prepared sushi rice during production.
  • Digital Display and Jog-Dial Controls: Operators can select and adjust rice thickness, length, density, positioning, wrapping time, and other machine settings through the display and jog dial.
  • Production Counter: Built-in counter tracks the number of formed pieces during operation, providing a simple reference for production volume.
  • Setting Lock Function: Mode Lock can prevent unintended changes to established molding-pattern settings during production.
  • Self-Diagnostic Error Display: The machine monitors operating conditions and displays error codes and troubleshooting information when an issue is detected.
  • Sensor-Controlled Safety System: Integrated hopper-lid, front-cover, rice, wrapping-unit, and safety sensors help monitor proper machine setup and operation.
  • Removable Food-Contact Components: Rice-forming and wrapping components can be removed for routine washing, cleaning, and sanitation.
  • Compact Integrated Maki Production System: Combines functions that would otherwise require a separate rice sheeter and wrapping machine, making it particularly useful for sushi restaurants, grocery sushi departments, commissaries, catering operations, universities, and other commercial sushi-production environments.
  • 1-Year Manufacturer Warranty: Backed by AUTEC’s one-year warranty for added confidence in commercial foodservice use.
