What does the ERS order data show?

Among qualifying ERS orders, the median fulfilled order is 16,000 pairs, the median interval between repeat orders is 35 days, and 78% of fulfilled orders were repeat orders.

Those are purchasing observations inside ERS records. They are not national market estimates, consumption measurements or recommended order rules. The sections below show the denominator, method and limitation attached to every answer.

How large are fulfilled custom-chopstick orders?

The median is 16,000 pairs. The middle 50% spans 11,200–28,800 pairs, so one number cannot describe the range restaurants purchase.

What “unchanged” should mean

The later order must connect to the same approved artwork revision identity. A renamed file alone does not prove a change, and a visually similar file does not prove continuity.

Methodology

How did ERS measure the Benchmark?

ERS completed this edition from qualifying order, location, artwork and proof records through the published observation cutoff. Every finding retains its unit, population, denominator, period and interpretation limit.

    Fulfilled-order population

    ERS retained qualifying fulfilled custom-chopstick orders. Cancellations, fully refunded lines, non-product fees, proofs and samples were excluded.

  2. 02

    Quantity stated in pairs

    Every eligible fulfilled quantity was stated in chopstick pairs, giving order-size and pair-volume findings one consistent unit. Line-level product mappings are not part of the public report.

  3. 03

    Physical-location sequence

    Customer and ship-to history was resolved to restaurant locations. The earliest eligible order at each location was classified as first-observed; later eligible orders at that location were classified as repeat orders.

  4. 04

    Chronology and artwork continuity

    Repeat intervals are calendar days between consecutive eligible orders at the same location. Artwork was unchanged only when an order used the same approved revision identity as the immediately preceding order.

  5. 05

    Finding-specific denominators

    Order statistics count orders, product mix counts fulfilled pairs, stable-cycle context counts qualifying locations and proof outcomes count eligible proof projects. Each public finding shows its applicable basis.

  6. 06

    Edition and privacy boundary

    The edition reports aggregate results through the observation cutoff. Restaurant, order, artwork and proof records remain outside the public storefront.

  • Artwork continuity: n=6,716 repeat orders; 6,313 unchanged. Continuity is based on approved revision identity; file renaming alone is not treated as an artwork change.
  • Initial-proof approval: n=2,347 proof projects; 1,596 approved without customer-requested revision.
  • Revision-round median: n=751 revision-bearing proof projects. This denominator excludes the 1,596 projects approved on the initial proof.

Release checks and privacy

  • Reported order and pair totals were reconciled to edition 2026.1.
  • Each percentage was verified from its integer numerator and denominator before display rounding.
  • Visible findings, semantic tables and structured data were checked against the same approved aggregate definitions.
  • The public release contains aggregate findings only; customer names, negotiated prices and record-level artwork remain non-public.
